On my last day in Iceland, I headed over to the Grotta Island near Reykjavik. Seeing the dramatic clouds in the sky I could not resist to try out the classic fine-art style. So I set up a long exposure, covered my viewfinder, protected the camera from any kind of shake and adjusted the time to the changing lighting situation. That was my first and only try! And to be honest, I love it!

Congratulations to the winners!
For me it is a 5 Star - one of m favorites so far in this Contest. 2.8 - Really? Can not understand how. It is simple, it is against some or all rules - i Love it.
wow thank you! :)
Yeah well, I do not really participate in those contest for the rating people give, because I believe in my quality. I'm in touch with many ad agencies and they constantly tell me about the good quality of my work.
I just participate to throw it out, maybe some people like it, maybe some don't. And as we know, people troll and downvote to get themselves a "higher" rating.
Thanks for your kind words! :)
What rules do you actually mean?
Do you mean that I did not straighten the vertical lines?
I meant 'rules' like to not put it in the middle - do not do this and that.
I think you should do exactly what you feel is right for a picture. And that - you did.
And it is a good idea to not look at the rating that much - in the end there is onle one person that needs to love it (plus maybee a client :) )
