For someone learning and using the contests here as somewhat of a photo challenge to go out and find new images (and then be inspired by what others post), I chuckled when the topic was announced because my outdoor options were very bland in my current post-fall/pre-snow season. Then on the first day of December I woke to the sound of snowblowers! I had to go capture SOMETHING... so this was my favorite, and the first I've dared to share. Yes, lots of room for improvement, but a baby-step in the process.

Congratulations to the winners!
It is very serene... it makes me feel like I could stand there alone and lose myself in my thoughts..
I like the way this shot makes me feel. Obviously, perfect for this time of year and it captures the cold Winter feeling.
Only constructive critique would be that I would have liked the tree and fur cones to be a little sharper as well as seeing just a little more of the bokeh background so that I get a feel for the surroundings. However, I'm being very picky as I really like the image! Well done :-)
Oh and by the way, I think the community are being a little harsh when it comes to the rating of this shot! ;-)
Mark, I truly appreciate the constructive critique - I will play around a bit more with multiple shots & various sharpness in the future.
Thanks so much - I know I have lots of room to grow, I just liked this so I thought I'd throw it out.
