And Now For Something Completely Different

For $29.00(US) I purchased a Twin-Lens Reflex camera from Amazon.

The catch? It shoots 35mm film and requires a bit of assembly (about 2 hours due to very poorly written instructions). Getting the shutter to work was basically knowing how it works and trying to see if you can assemble the parts.

The plastic lens is 47mm and the film is T-Max 400. Shutter speed?!?! After you press the shutter lever the shutter is activated of the return cycle.

The gear to keep track of the film advance doesn't work, so it's a guess as to whether you have advanced the film enough, not enough or too much.

Even though I used black electrical tape around the back cover, there was some serious light leak.

They say you get what you pay for - in your case a bagful of plastic parts! I'm wondering what cost more, the camera or the first roll of film + processing?

It's great to see members not only experimenting with the results but with the mechanism for capture.

Do I hear pinhole anyone?
