For the first post in this new group, I will put in a the full version of the cover photograph. I do abstract painting which I then photograph. I have sold the photographs for light box and digital displays. While some may say that taking a photograph of a painting is cheating, I make the paintings for the purpose of photographing them so it is all part of the single process of producing a piece of art.
As always - feedback is welcome!
You got me with this one, Ruth! At first, I thought it was a piece of cut turquoise, then a mixture of paints or other coloured liquids, then water with an oil film, and my final guess is that it's one of your paintings. And feel free to keep us all guessing! Well done.
Thanks Chris!
I do agree with your artistic approach. Whithout understanding what is really this photography, it makes me think to dysharmonic foldings in geology. These kind of foldings are induced by earthquakes in very soft and wet sediments. This is just my own feeling about your creation, in accordance with my passions and mostly my job.
One of the things I love about abstract is the people can just respond. Any reaction is success as it means the image made the fell something! ;)
Excellent work!
