All along the coast in Normandy (France), you can observe houses. Some of them are regular, display insterersting geometric shapes and colors. Colors have not been changed. This photography has been shot during a cloudy day, in winter times. Normandy can be famous for its natural pastel colors, notably the very soft sunlight in winter. Impressionists painters noticed and emphasized these natural colors in their paintings.
Very Nice David! I have seen many image of this place (I think) but never knew where it was. Those photos are usually highly juiced, in landscape format and often at an angle. I would not have expected to like a straight on, portrait orientation with muted colors so much but I really do! I also like the crop with so much sky - also a little unexpected. Nicely done!
Maybe you mean the famous colored houses along the coastlines in Netherlands.
Maybe I do! Beautiful too. Why was I born in New Jersey! Sigh....
That's an oddly interesting image David. I love the pastel colors, which flow through to the sky.
I also lie the crop on this - the image feels well balanced to me (apologies to all if I sound like I'm repeating myself....).
All in all a lovely image I could easily imagine hanging on a wall.
