On rainy days, my daughter, who I am encouraging toward photography, and I play with "kitchen shooting". Last weekend we did oil floating on water. Our oil might be the wrong kind because I'd like the bubbles to be clearer/shinier but we are getting there. I'd love suggestions from anyone who has tried this. (Tall container of water sitting on colored paper with oil floating on top of water)
Looking at them here, I see how much work they need so .... suggestions really welcome!
Hi Ruth,
Well, I never tried that sort of photographies. Why not test monochrome to explore the Infinite grey tones for such abstract photographies?
Here is one posted earlier with the crop suggestions of the group. Thanks all - much better!
I do prefer this version, infinitly more toned. A suggestion: make a regular white central point with a sharp bridge. this white point will echo with its bubble and two bubbles on left.
I like the first especially, Ruth. Since it's "abstract" I think I'd be a bit tempted to go crazy, further from reality and less candy-like perhaps, more chalky. Or further still, into madness.
Oooo! yes - I am tempted to go a little mad. Thanks!
