I agree with David. More explicitly, I think that the colour image has all that the monochrome has, with the powerful graphics, plus the glowing greens and those contrasting red tips, which adds a whole further dimension.
You could crop the bottom a bit IMHO, unless you can bring out some texture in it, or even just some colour in the second.
Both offer differing things for me. I 'prefer' the color version, but if I were to hang on a wall I may choss the B&W due to its striking graphical impact.
As with Chris I think a slight crop may help, here's a quick attempt on the B&W to provide some comparison.
