Abstracts at the Farm Today.

What else could I take pictures of while at a working farm today? :)
Any critique welcome.

I like the first one with its neat framing and indecipherable abstraction - the best kind! I can't make head or tail of it, and that's fine by me. It's a bit soft - maybe that's just a posting artifact. I'd true it up as much as possible, ideally including a complete narrow strip of that timber at each side (i.e. complete symmetry) thus providing a complete frame, and emphasise the textures. I've tried to illustrate this with an edit.

The second is pretty good, but I feel I'd rather it be shot at right angles, like the first, or at a steeper angle, to increase the convergence of the lines of the mesh. It's just a little bit too in-between, but others may disagree. You can never tell what's out of shot, but I wonder if I'd have been tempted to try a vertical image, taken from closer to the mesh i.e. from further right.

I actually like both of these. I like the focus on line in both images. Black and white was a perfect choice for both. I completely agree with Chris about framing the first one. For the second, I like the landscape format. It is crooked though and this hurts the great linear effect. Great job finding abstracts at the farm Reed!
