A huge centre of interprétation called Vulcania is noticible with its construction : a cinder cone. To enter thé scientific centre, you have to walk downstairs inside this cone.
I like the coloured version, as the play of colours adds a richness to the geometrical effects, which I think would hold my attention more in the long run. While a contrasting element can work, I think the "purer" images, like Ruth's crop and your colour version work better for me in this case. Actually, she's just overdone it a bit at top for me, that loop looking too close to the top edge, but I do like the idea of de-centring the portion of sky, and having the diagonal structural elements running corner-to-corner.
Still, it's your vision, and your opinion that matters, David. Another two fine images from you.
You are spot on with the crop Chris. I'm surprised at myself for the one I suggested. I was so focused in the line reaching the corners that I missed the sky!
David - Wow! This is a surprise. Excellent use of color opposites. And, since this a widely photographed subject, creates something that is unique in the crowd. Nice!
Hi David, I have seen this before and wondered what it is. Actually, I wondered if it was real or some kind if Photoshop magic. Now I know!
I couldn't help a cropping suggestion to make an abstract that I love.
Just thoughts!
A colored version

Thanks a lot! I'm about to take into account and marry your common advices dealing with both colors and frame.
