Hi Jeremy! I love this! I have a very similar shot which I thought was terrific ...until now. This one kicks it's behind! I wouldn't change the color at all (sorry Joe) as the color is definitely a big part of the appeal for me!

did you try split tone or desaturation of certain colors something like this
