Hey Vijay, nice shot. This is one of those images I mostly appreciate for what the shadow shows us and adds to the image. The shadow itself has much interest but it also adds dimension to the wood above, giving me more information about the actual break in the wood. I like it, nice job.
As for color or BW? For me and this image, I have no preference for one over the other. The subject is so simple, it works both ways.
