Want to share some snap shots from my phone while on a family vacation. These are all taken on Alcatraz so just making one post.
I’m just trying some minimalist compositions trying to use tips on stuff I’ve seen on here.
I know these are all different but if feel like I am interested in feedback on composition, color, or anything else.
Hey Amos - Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about this and will touch base when I'm not sneaking a quick peak at work!
Ok. Let's chat! :)
#1 - interesting treatment. For a picture of a sign, this is actually interesting. I like the black and white and antiquey feel. I like the Arty cutting off of some of one word and might have cut off a little of "United" as well. None of Alcatraz Island though.
#2- of all your submissions this best meets the minimalism/abstract theme. I like it! I hope Chris chimes in as he is great with both skies and low profiles.
#3- love the idea. Love the double bars. This is totally a superior layered story shot and it is probably the best I've seen from you. Very well done!
#4 - Not minimalism or abstract so I'm pleasing the 5th.
#5 - nicely done color and texture. Technically good. It needs a subject though. Since it is too literal to be an abstract, it needs a subject so that it doesn't look like the bunny hopped away the second before you took the shot. Sorry!
#6 - nicely done. A little 'mood' light would be nice but not a deal breaker. Nice work!
