Welcome to M,A&B! The board has been very quiet for the last few days but it is raining so time to check out what is going on here at fstoppers!
So, people in this group will often take a screen capture of your post to play with it and see if they can give suggestions. (Just is case it comes as a surprise if you see that happen a bunch!) I am going to do it here!
I love the simplicity of these images. And the color is great. Clarity too. And only minor blow out right on the horizon even in a super bright situation like this! Nicely done.
A couple suggestions for editing ... I would straighten the horizons. The first one is only off 2 degrees but the rest are pretty sloped. :)
I did play around with the first one because i wanted to see if the clouds could be popped out more. I don't know if this is helpful or not! Like I said - just playing around. I might have gotten carried away with moodiness.
Overall though - nice work and I hope you post more!
These were all handheld and not on a tripod, except the wake. It's been about 15-16 years since I was involved in photography until about March of this year, I hadn't used Photoshop since 2003 and just learned of the existence of Lightroom in March so my editing is way sub-par.
I have a medical disability and I help with my cousin who is also disabled; so I kind of have to approach things differently in some regards. I plan to take classes as I can afford them at the local camera shop. I have a class next week on basic Nikon DSLR use & controls and hope to take landscape, portrait and astrophotography classes as time and money allow.
My current tripod is a cheapo from Walmart. I plan to get a decent one with level indicators when I can.
