Beautiful abstraction, Alon! With all due respect to our Dear Leader, this could just about be the banner for this Group.
At first, I thought the imperfections could be edited out, but then it might as well be CGI. On reflection, the fact that it LOOKS perfect at first glance, but has some real-world character, is exactly what makes so-called abstract photography appealing for me.
Great effort, let alone for a first post. More please! In fact, you could drop your whole portfolio here.
I know! I found this awesome photo and asked Alon to join us. This is stunning!! The light and color and curves. This is top notch work!
Interesting this this is quilling paper. I actually have some and I never wind up making anything because I love the look of the little bundle. Now I am inspired to play with it!
Thanks a lot for the nice words!! I didnt know if the imperfections needs to be corrected or not.. i decided to leave them alone.. I guess it was a good call.. glad to inspire you to shoot some yourselves..
Third attempt
This one I really love. I used a flash from one side and a light from my window for the second side.. I think this is the best one.. what do you think?
You are amazing!! You should post this one separately in a new thread. It is awesome! You blow my mind when I think about this being quilling paper. Superior work!
I liked your original shot on this post, but this one for me just stands above your first two, stunning shot Alon, get this in your portfolio so I can slap some stars on it :)

Another frame.. I think it is not as good as the first one.. but i love the motion in the frame..
Love this one, too, Alon! Maybe even more. You really have a way...
Very cool. And I usually prefer black and white photography, but these are splendid.
I especially like the second one you shared in a comment. It reminds me of a false-color astrophotograph of Saturn’s rings.
Wow! I didn't see it until now.. now i have a name for this frame.. thank you!

Perhaps a repeat comment (from your portfolio) but I LOVE this piece. It is so well balanced and has such interesting flows.
