The ioner

Seen on the granitic mountain. A small tree surrounded by a lonely cumulus. This part of France is amongst which are the most uninhabited. I wanted this photography the more basic possible, refined.

Hi there. I liked the story through the composition.

Nice to see you Vijay!

yuup. back "home".

This is great David! I love your landscapes! Did you wait for hours for the cloud to be in the right position? This successfully acheived your goal of 'refined'

There may be some striping/aberration below the cloud. I am on my phone so it could be that. Perhaps someone else will chime in. If there is, I don't know how to fix that!

Regardless, Very nice David!

Hello Ruth,
The lines below thee clouds were generated during the transformation into JPG.
About the composition, I wanted a much bigger cloud. Much much bigger. But, just this tiny cumulus I saw coming from far away and going eastward. Then I've been staying sat there around 45 mn. Waiting for the cloud. Waiting for... and waiting for...till that moment.

It was well worth the wait!

Well worth the wait for that cloud David, excellent composition.

IBut I'm sorry by seeing the grass. Whithout the black grasses, in a single grey, the foreground could be much better and render an other photography. More refined, to keep what's as important as essential.

Nice image, David! You could reduce the contrast in those foreground grasses by selecting that area, one way or another, and, well... reducing contrast. Alternatively, if the dark grasses are a different hue, for instance greener than the surrounding paler grasses, you could do this by adjusting the proportions of red, green and blue that comprise your final monochrome. You could post your B&W and the colour original in "Before and After".
