Sorry for the slow response. Somehow i missed this. This is a favorite for me. It is a great abstract. Since we defined Minimalism is a recent post, i thought I'd drop in our original definition of abstract here just because this is such a good example of it.
Abstracts are images in which the subject does not have an immediate association with its source but is rather a fragment of the source and is isolated from its context. The goal is to create the desired meaning or overall effect through color, texture, line, shape, geometry, symmetry, etc., creating a sensation or reaction in the viewer without previous knowledge of the subject influencing that reaction.
I think we forget that it isn't that we don't recognize the subject but rather that we don't need to in order for the image to be successfull.
I love the lines, contrast and texture in your image. It all works for me. I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for posting!!
