Hi Emmett - This is interesting. You rarely see skies in black and white. I have been thinking of posting a black and white sunset and seeing what people think. I think I'll do that in the Black and White group soon.
These are interesting. I like that, at first they seem to have little detail and then the stars pop out. Nice sense of discovery.
These may suffer from 'glance and go' syndrome as they definitely need a little more checking out to see the interesting depth and star trails. I hope people look twice!
Just out of curiosity, I would be interesting in seeing the color versions.
Glad you like them! Here's the SOOC color versions (tend to shoot jpeg + for a backup, though most of my edits end up black and white). And definitely try some black and white sunsets! I find it's helpful for seing everything with fresh eyes.
Hi Emmett, & welcome! I think you've found your spiritual home in this group! I love these. They're so "minimal" even I'm struggling for words to say what it is (vs. my usual verbosity...). Do more of whatever it is you're doing. I'll be interested to see. Well done.
They remind me a bit of Sugimoto's seascapes, yet they're quite different.

Minimal enough for you, Ruth? ;-)

Kind words- took quite a few late nights to find these! I'm a big fan of the work this group has been putting out, and I do love Sugimoto.
