Good job, Mr D! "No point of interest, no lead in line" is fine by me. There is no universal formula for a satisfying image. Joel Meyerowitz' beautiful portfolio "Bay/Sky", for one, is largely composed of such images. You might like it if you don't know it already.
Hi Mr Drizz. I don't think this needs a specific point of interest, but for me this evokes a feeling of discord.
You have that (signature) wonderfully smooth and toned water, contradicted by a contrasty, vibrant sky.
It is nevertheless a nice shot, but I think it would be improved by a sky that better complements the tranquil mood set by the water.
I love this! As an abstract photographer, one of the hardest images to create is the 'abstract landscape'. It is not like you can find a texture/lines/color subject within another subject, isolate and arrange it and have a great abstract. A landscape is hard to remove from context - one of the goals of abstracts.
Now take a look at this image without looking a sea or sky. Just let your eye soak in color, texture and layers. You have a really nice abstract here.
Super well done. I hope you try for more like this. You have a great eye for abstract!

Plenty of colour to be of interest to me.
