Nuclear Power Plant | ICM

Here is a personnal vision of a nuclear power plant in France.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cruas_Nuclear_Power_Plant
I wanted voluntarily a softened image while I keep exploring ICM. A sort of reverse vision about nuclear energy we can have and, in the same time, create a cloud hiding the production, and what can not be seen.
To obtain it, superimposed 5 photos and tried to obtain the essence from each of them before adding the effets in one result I share with you.

I love this. Awesome image.

Thanks a lot Ian. That's right. This is an image and no longer a photography.

Great effort, David! Yes, it could be a watercolour.

That's right. But i don 't know how to create watercolor paintings in real. Then I fake with photography to create an effect looking watercolor.

I reckon photography is painting for cheats, David!

Nah, painting is photography for cheats ;-)
@ david: Nice picture !

Hi David, I love your creativity. I really like this image, but if I'm totally honest my appreciation was elevated after reading your description and seeing the linked image of the cooling towers.

My own personal preference in abstracts is to display a hint of form that challenges the viewer to determine the subject. You have achieved this in this piece of art (which it is) but for me only with the aid of the text - now I know what I'm looking at I think it's wonderful.

If I were to follow my own artistic interpretation on this (this is not to say you should change your own) I would bring out the form just a little so that it becomes a little evident to the viewer without having to understand the subject..

Does that make sense? I think it hard to see what others might see
with artwork like this as the photographer has an insight to the subject that is typically unavailable (and has to be portrayed) to the viewer.

Due to the abstract nature of the piece I fully expect (and respect) that others may have a different opinion, so as always would encourage you to stick with your own artistic impression

Love the work you are doing on these, please view this as just another input that you can consider.

By informing peuple about objects or landcapes i shoot, i give the possibility people to considere if i reached my goal.
Most of all, i'm not self-confident enough yet to leave you whithout information.
Next time, i'll not documente the image to see how people see it. That will be a new try!

That sounds like a great plan David. I often use that tact to see if people pick up on the information that I have left out.
It will be interesting.....
