Great image for my taste, William! Powerful and mysterious. The toning, softness and grain are large parts of its appeal. Interesting composition - I would have put her face right of centre, facing into the image, but this works better. Gives me a sense as if she's wanting to burst out of the image, or out of something.
Really means a lot that you all "see" this image. Though I've been using cell phone for photos past 8 years or so I never really looked at "making a photograph" until very recently. About 7 months ago I purchased a A7ii and a 50mm 1.8 + 28mm f/2 and have become addicted with not too many people to share these images with. This community along with a street photography community has been such a breath of fresh air to share something that is important to me and see images , moments in time that are important to others. There is a magic in photography , something nearly everyone enjoys but it seems few really understand.
it reminds me a bit of Antoine d'Agata pictures..Don't know if it is up your taste but the rawness of his photography is unmatched and is one of my favorite artists . I like this picture but the crop is a bit to close for my taste.
You can submit a crop yourself, Ralph. I'd have cropped in William's place in the first instance, but seeing William's image, I think the "imbalance" is part of what makes it extraordinary. However, there's no end to creative possibility, so why not show us what you have in mind?

Very strong evocative image William.
I am happy you enjoy
Looking again, William, I have to say this is one of the best images I've seen on Fstoppers. Ever. Put it in your portfolio!
Thank you , that means a lot. I will add it to the profile now.
William that is a hell of a great photo!

This is absolutely fabulous! I hope this pick it for an image of the day!
Nice to "hear" your "voice" again, Ruth! I've missed your input recently.
Thanks Chris!
William can you crop some of the black on the RHS away to see how it could balance wee bit better?

No mate, I should have zipped it and let it be.
