Nice work Terry!

Hey Terry, at first I thought this was a reflection! In that vein, I would love to see you drop in an edit of this perfectly horizontal. I think it might be interesting ...or not. Just a thought. I do like the texture the way you've isolated the limb here.

Keep them coming!

Thx for the comment. There could be a couple of changes I would have made but I'm not sure of what "drop in an edit" would entail......?? The image was part of a lighting and staging experiment, so there wasn't much thought given to composition........or editing. What did you have in mind?

I just meant that, if you tried a change, I'd love to see you add it to this post so we could see it. I think this image is interesting. Like I said earlier, I think you should straighten it. Just to see what it is like. It might trick the eye into thinking it is a reflection or plants growing from the ground. But then when you have to look again because those wouldn't be quite right, you'd realize that it is a branch. That sort of visual conundrum can sometimes make an image more impactful. This is just a thought for tinkering with it. It is nice the way it is too!

For example, if the first one had more black space above it, at first glance you'd think it was the ground but then your eye would figure it out and the surprise is enjoyable. If the second had more negative space above and below...a reflection maybe?

Thank you for your interest, comments and enthusiasm. I'm one of those fools who likes to spend more time behind a camera than in front of a computer(I added a shot from the day before)...........that said, I love talking photography and I like what you did. I also appreciate and welcome those who do as well.

Lovely work Terry. I love the sharpness throughout and the subtle color tones.
TBH I prefer the shot as-is, it looks natural to me. If I had to make any suggestions at all it would be perhaps to crop a little from the right. Not certain on that but you may get something out of it.
