Sticking with the theme ..

... of minimal-ish beach scenes and backgrounds, here is something else for consideration. This comes from an evening 'photo safari' with my family where we were experimenting with long exposure. This was my favorite of the day.

As an aside, the beach here was always what I thought a "coastline" looked like having grown up here. After traveling and seeing amazing coast images so often with rocks, cliffs, waves and ...., I realized how unique my habitat is. But instead of wishing for those super photogenic places, I find a peaceful aspect here that appeals to me. For some photographers it may seem boring but I love the open expanse and muted colors. Just a little thoughtful stuff as I post another soft, open beach scene.

PS - I am going for kind of a an experimental theme here. These fit the landscape group but they never get much input there.
If it seems too off theme, let me know. This isn't a dictatorship! - HRH

But you're the boss, Dear Leader.

I like it, and share your sentiments about peaceful, less spectacular places. A large part of photography's power for me is the way it can help us to see the beauty in the ordinary, and a large part of a photographer's skill is the ability to see that in the first place, and convey the sense of wonderment.

"We see things not as they are, but as we are."

I love that spin on that saying. I'll keep that one close. Thanks Chris!
