Bad weather can be fun if one is properly prepared. There is a rock formation near me just offshore of the Oregon coast called "Haystack Rock". That photo reminds me of some I've seen of it. You should "Google image" it. Admittedly, your formations are more dramatic. But I think you may see the similarity.

nice effect. Anything under 10°c is way too cold. Don't do single figure temperatures.
Can I ask how long a shutter speed you used. The effect is very nice.
It was half a second. But I guess for the effect you have to consider the wind and the waves
