I love bark! Almost as much a peeling paint (which is a lot!). The bark on this pine looks like puzzle pieces. Hope to see more! Texture shots are interesting when you have nice lighting as you do here.
I do have two suggestions. When I have a texture shot or an abstract without a definite focal point, I feel the eye doesn't know where to land and then roam around finding the interesting bits of the image. I recommend trying an inverted radial mask to add a warm spot of light that might create a subject/landing spot for the image. This probably doesn't make sense - I haven't had any coffee yet! Here's a stab at it. Hope this is OK.
Keep things like this coming. I for one love this style
:)
PS I forgot to add the other suggestion - it is just a slight crop off the right. ;)
Hi Alex, good to see you posting again. I am hoping that like myself this group is helping keep others sane, at least somewhat....
Nice abstract image BTW!
Welcome back!

Thank you for your feedback Alan and Ruth. And no doubt Ruth, your suggestions makes a big difference!
Hope to see more soon! Be well.
