A Little 'Minimal'

We haven't had many posts in the minimal vein recently. Mark's lightbulb got me in the minimal mood though! This is a wire art piece that I was drawn to mostly due to the shadow it cast on the wall. I have three crops here to see what you think.

Feedback welcome!

PS - white images often struggle here due to the bright white page. I would suggest opening these so they don't look dingy. 🤗

Ruth, I really like it.

As I mentioned I use to work as an 3d animator/modeler and this reminds me of a Polygonal Mesh.

I like the crops as they are, but just toying around I came up with the following ideas as well.

The first image I brought back out to a 2:3 ratio using content aware scale. This dose create a lot of negative space but maybe it complements the arching and "swooshing" of the wire-piece?

In the second I mirrored the piece. Though this moves more into "graphical" over "purist" photography as I'm not sure this shot would be possible in real life. (given light and shadow directions).

Just laying out ideas which may or may not be successful.

I love the reflection! I never think of doing stuff like this but I should. I like the shadows almost touching I'm the center. This is really cool Joe! Definitely food for thought. Thanks a bunch!

I enjoy the pure graphical nature of the 3rd image and can see this hanging on a wall.

The first two not as much, I'm thinking possibly due to the lines leading out of the frame.

I'm curious if these would feel different if the image were flipped horizontally......
