EDITED Spring Trails

The last time I posted an ICM shot, I added an image that included a piece of trail as an example. I got feedback that that image was more appealing than the one I posted as the main image. A few people said that they liked the identifiability of the trail. So, while on a hike yesterday, I came across a section of trail where the path was bright white sand surrounded by grass and then short gray/brown trees. A perfect source for an ICM trail shot.

EDITED I added a "night" version for comparison.
Feedback welcome!

Nice balance here! Well done!

Hi Ruth,

thanks for posting these!

I meant to comment on your previous one, but it's gone.
While I really like the colors on the orange one, the composition I think is a lot stronger when it looks like you're on the trail.

Thanks a bunch! I don't usually like to post 'batches' like I did in the other post. I'll be posting some of them again as singles or pairs like this post now is. Thanks a bunch for the kind words too!!

Nice job Ruth. The composition is appealing, however although you have done a good job with the ICM technique the colors and mood don't draw me in as much as your darker images.
It has good bones, so perhaps some tweaking to the colors & exposure?

You know I'm a dark and moody gal! The color pallet was actually "experimental" for me! I added a different version to the post. Let me know if you think this is more successful for you. I have a bunch of these that I really like - in both pastel and their 'night' counterparts. I'd be interested in the group's thoughts.
