Another blended image for review. With fruit trees in full bloom I wanted to get out and capture while I can.
This is a 20-shot blend of a flowering pear tree. As the results lean toward the impressionistic side I decided to color match against a Monet painting.
Comments encouraged - my personal favorite will be posted in my portfolio but I'd be interested to understand how others feel about the color grading, as well as the image in general.
So which do you prefer the original or the 'Monet'?
Nice one! Top one would be my choice.
You must be in heaven at this time of year! I hope you can free up time to shoot and process later. The blooming is beautiful this year but fleeting! I would imagine you have a route planned out with these solitary trees. Like Joe, I have a hard time finding them.
I like the first one best. I just love these images when you have this type of soft, color pallette. I am wondering what you might think of bring up the yellow though. I think the image feels like it was taken in the sunshine but there is no 'sunshine' feeling. Here's a stab.
Just a thought. LOVE these Alan!
Thanks Ruth, I did try that but don't want the grass to be so vibrant. I'll likely go back and apply locally to see if I can bring up elsewhere.
BTW - these are not easy to find here in Vermont either. There is typically a lot of distraction around, finding some sort of isolation can be difficult, especially if you want an attractive background.
This was actually by a rainwater retention pond at the edge of the car park at a site I was working at - one reason to keep a camera in the car and an eye for opportunity.
Bottom one for me....am a sucker for turquoise....😁😁
In between?
