Alan Brown's picture

Boat House

Just to keep the creative juices flowing.... I popped down to the lake and took a number of images of the Burlington Boat house. Layered and blended in PS.

Sincere feedback (positive or negative) always encouraged and appreciated. - there can be no wrong opinions.

Alan, really like how you push yourself and experiment. When I view your imagery of the trees, they take on a painterly feel and are in harmony with the subject and are remarkable,

This image, less painterly but a little alarming for me only because I suffer from vertigo episodes, this represents a great example of that feeling, though I know it was not your intent.

Really diggin’ the photographers here on Fstoppers, such as yourself, who study, explore and put their work here for others to comment.

Thanks Kelly - I do like to try to create images that evoke feeling, but certainly not vertigo!!!!

This is not a great image, but I wanted to post to the group do that the technique itself can draw discussion
I actually like the effect more on the umbrellas and small palm tree on the right than I do on the building.

The experiment goes on......

Lol. I probably could have stated that better. The image did not invoke vertigo, but a representation of what happens to my vision and brain during an episode.

There are images that do trigger vertigo in people and those are the spinning motion type photographs if stared at for any length of time.

I like what you're doing and agree, the palm tree and umbrellas have that painterly feel. Much like your other images, the trees appear to lend themselves well to your technique.

Keep experimenting, that's how we solve creative thoughts.
