Andrew Williams's picture

Aerial Photography from 2 Meters High

Harry and I noticed some interesting effects the salt left on the streets today. It was pretty grey and the sun was below the horizon this afternoon while we were walking, so some of the color and contrast were enhanced in Photoshop along with the "Daylight" setting in Topaz's Adjust filter.

I threw Harry's picture in here because he asked me politely. He had just finished rolling in the snow, fell off the curb, and was climbing back onto the grass.

Great concept Andrew.
These explorations of texture and line are a good reminder to look down now and them.
Thanks.
Nice to meet you Harry.

Hey Andrew, are you sure Harry is /clinking' of his own accord? It looks like you are dragging the wee fella!

I reiterate what Julian says. It's a good reminder that we don't have to search for grand vistas or vibrant sunsets to find good subjects- we just need a curious mind.

Thow a bone to Harry for me will ya?

It is a good thing that grand vistas are not required because there are precious few of them here in suburban Philadelphia. Additionally, grand vistas and sunsets have been done to death. I've done them to death myself years ago. Mostly I find them trite and boring. As the saying goes, your mileage may vary.
