I used an 11mm and 18mm extension tubes on a RF 24-70mm to view through the lens of a Kodak Brownie Target SIX-20 at a Kinax II IPO camera. I took this photo in my professional studio, aka: dining room table.
A simple question: Which genre would you select for this photograph?
That's a difficult one Dean, and I'm not sure it really matters. As you used extension tubes then theoretically it could be classed as a macro, but as it is essentially a picture of an object it could be still-life.
Then again you were experimenting.........
I like the creative thinking and work that was out into this.
I agree with Alan, in that it really does not matter.
Still life, portraiture, or fine art, the label does not matter as mush as the creativity.
Thanks for sharing your work with us Dean.
I like the dark moody feel, and the strong side lighting.
Interesting to note is the source of the strong side lighting is coming from the sliding glass door (blinds drawn) and the LED light is providing light for right hand side of the distant camera.
Images are reversed, left-right~ right-left, when looking through the viewfinder.
The light on the closer camera was from a second handheld LED. I couldn't hold the light and take the second shot of the setup. I would need a second tripod for that!
Great effect, Dean. Also appreciate seeing the setup that you used!
