This afternoon Harry and I attempted ICM in a way different from what we had done before, Previously we had stood still (or at least I tried to) and shot multiple images from the same position while a tree or something else was moved by the wind. Today, there was no wind and nothing else interesting to be seen, we held down the focus button and walked diagonally past a large bush. The lens was at 70mm. There were thirteen exposures (the buffer capacity.) We also tried this with several blossoming trees less successfully (I had left the lens at 300mm and there was not enough overlap in the frames to be useful.)
Thanks for posting Andrew. With the day being so bright I’m guessing your shutter speed was pretty fast, thus minimizing any ICM effect.
It would be interesting to see what you can get later in the day as the light diminishes. I bet those blossoming trees you mention would look great with ICM during golden hour light.
Just saw this idea in a video recently. Would like to try it next time we get a chance to take a walk. A week of rain here.
