Minimalism in photography is one of my favorites. I really like this one. I wonder if you increased the contrast or texture or dehaze the land a bit (or something other that more experienced editors would recommend) would separate the land from the fog a bit. The reason I say it is because of that lovely fog resting in front of the land mass. Somehow separating the background, midground, and foreground would give it cool dimension.
This could be straight out of a Photo Secessionist's portfolio nearly a century ago, or indeed some 19th century photographers' oeuvres, Marius! The more things change...
I love it! I think it's one of your best. So much is implied, so little spelt out, activating my imagination. There's a subtle glow in the sky "from on high".
I find this image very cold and mysterious. You have done a great job of displaying just enough detail to provide interest whilst maintaining that glorious veil of fog.
I do like the toning on this, and I feel the 'subtle glow' that Chris points out pulls the image together.
Funnily enough I just recently entered a blog post on my site which highlights Teo Crawford, a young photographer (and videographer) that focuses on this type of work.
