I found a Royalty-Free texture and as it was only 800x500 for the original photo 8191x5463 I needed to use the original photo editing software: Microsoft Paint® to copy and copy and move, and rotate, and copy and copy and rotate and...
Apparently, I did not make the texture layer unique enough as the repetition is obvious.
This is a great idea. I like the texture you used. At first I didn't realize you repeated it until I saw that in your post then I saw what you meant. The photograph does really lends itself to a painting.
