Okay, not so much "Storm"...it's seems when there is a storm I am usually IN the storm and it's pouring down cold, cold rain.
The first two are typical tourist locations and difficult to discover a unique photo midday.
The third photo I had to scurry down the beach with my camera to capture the correct angle of light. About 2 minutes later the lighting was gone.
These are beautiful shots, Dean.
#1 The sky provides wonderful tension behind the aggressiveness of the rock cliffs and rough terrain.
#2 So much strength in this image from the rocky peaks to the voluminous water of the river to stately cliffs like a citadel - that small lighted, domed building atop adds so much to the whole!
#3 is really lovely - the light, the foamy waves, the reflection, and the minimalism.
#3 really speaks to me Dean. You have really captured the mood and the subtle golden glow in the reflection really sets this apart.
For some reason, threatening/broody weather appeals far more to me when presented in color.
Like this?
Ha, perhaps not that one Dean. Were it darker with the clouds looking threatening it might evoke a feeling more in line with your (excellent) moody beach shot
These are lovely Dean! I particularly like the third. The colors are so subtle and lovely and the framing of the buttes is spot on.
