I said to myself, "Self. You've never tried the Orton Effect."
Next thing I know I am heading to an old abandoned local paper mill that is in the L-O-N-G process of being demolished (think: over 10 years).
These two photos were taken using three shot in-camera multi-exposure:
1 - In focus and proper exposure
2 - In focus and over exposed
3 - Proper exposure and slight zoom out
I just noticed these Orton Effect posts, Dean. It's something I never really knew too much about, but I just read an article about Michael Orton and how he created the effect in the 80s. It then went on to explain how to do it via Photoshop. I came back to your post and understood your explanation (1, 2, 3). Thank you for posting and explaining your process.
