An Introduction to Average Camera Pro

Just thought I'd pass on to any that might hold an interest. I have been playing about with the Average Camera Pro app on my iphone recently. Although ACP is intended to be used for long exposures, interesting ME effects can be captured hand-held.

Here are some quick results, with the app set to take 4 exposures 1 second apart (I was in motion during some). I'll let you decide whether any could be deemed successful, or come up with your own creative ideas for the app.

From the app description;
Average Camera automatically takes multiple pictures (immediately or after a timer expires), calculates the average picture out of these and normalizes the result, to make the lightest pixel become white. It is useful for producing low-noise pictures in low-light situations. Because of the long exposure time, you should not hold your iPhone in your hands, but lean it against something to get sharp results.

Is anyone else using this app? I'd love to see results.

From Imagi Mobile? I am going to give it a try.

Do you have to merge in a third-party app?

From Dominik Seibold - it is available on the Apple app store, I'm unsure if it is available otherwise.
This is a standalone app, result is saved in your Photo library.

Not available using the Android platform.

Bummer - thanks for researching Dean. Perhaps there are Android apps worthy of recognition?

Hey Alan, I really like the 1st and the 4th shot...

Thanks Don, I appreciate your feedback.

I've never heard of it before, but, wow, these are really nice, Alan. I love numbers 1 & 5. These are fantastic scenes for this app. Thanks for the heads up on it.

Thanks Jennifer - it's always nice to try something new.
