Does anyone have experience making a pinhole lens for a DSLR?
I have watched a few videos and the concept seems straightforward. But that's where it ends.
I don't have a spare camera cap or a laser to make a pin point hole, but I do have cardstock, a straight pin and tape.
My image was blue in bright and shadows are RED...not in the least bit sharp. So I tried shooting in monochrome.
Color image: (EOS R5) ISO 100 ~ 1 second
B & W: (EOS T3) ISO 800 ~ 1/6 second
This is my Canon Rebel R5 with my pinhole lens.
Look forward to posts on this subject!
I must admit I have not tried this experiment. It does look like it may be fun and has creative potential.
I continue to be amazed at your drive to try new ideas Dean, looking forward to seeing more.
My brain unfroze for a moment and I realized why the RED.
In the manufacturing my lens I remembered that to help seal the light I used electrical tape on the sensor side of the cardstock.
Can you guess as to what color of Electrical tape I used...hint: it wasn't Black.
So... a bult-in Red filter? Ingenious!
Yeah...I accidental get creative that way!
