As I wait for winter to produce enough snow to get excited about I have been trying to find something inspiring that would get me outdoors more frequently.
Until that time comes I have set myself a little project - to experiment with multiple exposure images capturing some of the signs I see along my hikes.
Here's a few attempts - not world beaters but I feel experimenting in such a way gives me a better feel for what might (or not) work with future subjects.
I have my own thoughts on these, would love to hear the viewpoint of others, eg;
- what aspects do you feel work/don't work for you?
- what ideas might you have for other suitable subjects?
Sincere feedback (whether positive OR highly critical) would be greatly appreciated as a learning tool.
These are really good! ITR is difficult for me to enjoy unless it's done within certain boundaries.
All of These are clean images, show a clear subject, tell a story, include wonderful colors, and have gorgeous backgrounds!
Individually ...
1). Everything about this image peacefully tells the story of SLOW - the road, the solitary house/cabin, the gentle transition of colors.
2). This one makes me smile - the circular "tracks" under the sign tells a story of a snowmobile-r running circles around the no snowmobile sign.
3). No fear of me trespassing on this one. Not sure I want to know what's lurking in those woods.
Really nice work, Alan.
Thanks for your detailed response Jennifer. I'll add others when/if I come across suitable subjects.
