April challenge - contrasting light and shade

This month's challenge is very broad, with an emphasis on the dramatic contrast between light and shade.

This isn't a challenge to simply post images that display an incidental shadow or cool lighting, but one where the interaction between light and shade are the primary element of the image.

This could be for example a silhouette, or subject highlighted by a shaft of light etc.

This is inspired by a video I came across recently which attempts to recreate some of the work of Trent Parke, linked here for your viewing.

So post what you have, and/or use this as an excuse to get outside and flex those creative muscles.
