UPDATE 5th May
Apologies, I realize that this challenge may prove difficult within the group boundaries. I do encourage group members to explore and as with my examples feel free to post work outside our M, A, I focus.
My goal is for members to keep each other motivated through engaging discussions, with restrictions being very liberal.
------------------------------------
This month I will challenge members to present images that exhibit their interpretation of depth.
This may include the depth 'of' something (eg something under water), the depth displayed within an image (eg through foreground & background elements) or even perhaps the depth of an emotion.
In setting this I have come to realize that many of my own image lack an adequate sense of depth, something I plan to improve on.
Here are some samples from my own work for ideas.
Depth will be tough for minimalism, a little easier, maybe for abstraction. Experimental is probably better with layers of photos, maybe.
Apologies, I may have strayed a little from the 'Minimalism, Abstract, Experimental' theme of the group.
Whilst I would like to keep to those core themes in general, I do see this group as being open to discussions outside of those boundaries.
In many ways each capture is an experiment in itself.......
It's mainly because we said to Marius that his landscape wasn't minimal...then I see your first shot. 😎
Yeah, I was so intent on providing worthwhile examples that I spaced out on following the core themes.
I do like the depth of emotion in that image though.
Apparently Alan, this challenge brought people out of the woodwork. I was wrong! lol
My hope is for members to participate in engaging discussions and push each other along.
Whatever it takes..........
