"my King wants to have a word with your King..." (May challenge - Depth)

my 0cents
depth - Spacial - from the perspective of the other side - layers/contrast/DOF etc
depth - Time - of what is about to happen with the games - calculating moves back and forth in time adapting/predicting the outcome
depth - Emotions, egos, learning, exploring etc

I like it. I have a question....is the Queen's Bishop orientation meant to represent something or am I reading too much into it?

thank you. a good catch but it is an unintended consequence when i move the back row to dovetail with the front row for better figure to ground .. ps he is acting out his advisory role behind the scene :)

Love this, and you said it all in your description! Great job!

thank you

Interesting image Marius, and interesting in the many ways you have worked depth into the story.

Question - what is the line that spans the length of the image?

I believe it is the center of a folding chessboard.

A great demarcation between Kings...you know how Rulers can get sometimes.

Correct its the folding of this board .... the "line in the sand "

An interesting story. a Fantastic capture.

To make the expression more edgy, refined to enhance a few elements speak out loud in my thought process.

I love your edit as it emphasizes the essence of the subject: Two Kings.

This could easily be accomplished with another light source, as well.

Marius your comment about the the center board being "the line in the sand" make me want to setup your chess board up outside and cover it with a fine layer of sand, minimalist background and a blown-out sky.

I tried it on my mobile device....didn't work.
