I actually prefer the second as an abstract, but my eye wants the windows on the left to be vertical.
I see where you are headed wit the first but there are too many confusing/distracting elements for me.
Sure, but if you really look up at buildings, the lines do converge. (I corrected it slightly for you anyway.)
