For the last few years, I have been photographing American flags (and derivatives) wherever I found them excluding government buildings. The genesis of this project is rather a long story, which is based on the concept that (deleted as an unnecessary and inappropriate political statement.) Regardless, the red and white stripes do lend some graphic interest to some otherwise ordinary scenes. Except for the first two, I shot these while walking Harry. Some of the flags were brightened in post.
I love this project idea, Andrew. I'd love to see your complete collection if you have them online somewhere.
I did a Blurb book a while back that is available on Amazon. These images are newer. If and when I get a website up and running, there will be a more complete "Wrapped in the Flag" portfolio there.

Great! Thank you, Andrew. I sent you a message with my email.
WONDERFUL book, Andrew. I am really enjoying it. You did a fantastic job compiling your images and captioning them. Thanks for offering this. It's an inspiration for a project to try!
Something like this could be fun to try.
