I think this counts as experimental enough to share here. Last October I was on a business trip to Singapore. I had quite a bit of free time to photograph the city. I took this on the last night of my stay. Every night there is a laser light show form the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. I used several photos to create this image. I used 4 or 5 photos for all of the laser lights. Then I used an under exposed photo to balance the highlights. I posted an earlier version of this shot (you can see it in my portfolio). I was never 100% satisfied with it. I think I did a better job of bringing out the lights and making them "pop" with this one.
Yes, your latest edit is so much better.
Good job on this - it has been a long time since I was last over there, it has changed so much.
Thank you! I thought so too. But then someone rated as a 2 and it had me 2nd guessing my self. I try not to pay too much attention to those things but it can be hard not to.
I want to go back so bad. It's a photographers paradise over there!
Great work on this, Kyle. I agree with Alan that I like this one better than the previous. You are right about the lights popping nicely. Thanks for explaining the process. I always enjoy reading those kinds of posts!
Thanks Jennifer!
