Monochromatic (-ish) at Blue Hour

Archive Dive (taken last Tuesday).

Whenever I am visiting Astoria Oregon I cannot avoid stopping to photograph the bridge.

For this photo I kept the saturations for Red, Orange and Yellow at "0" and dropped all others to -100...however, I did raise Blue to -86 to keep the Blue Hour feel.

This has an interesting vibe Dean. I do like that you are not presenting one of those oversaturated and gaudy images that seem to be the trend nowadays.

I like that you maintained the reds to keep the wonderful leading line of car lights, and allowed the desaturated blues to provide mood.

Well done!

Thank you.

I dislike photos that interpret HDR as "Required Oversaturation".

A very successful use of selective color, and great composition!
