The Vegas Sphere.... ugh.

Been busy, on vacation and sick. Went to Vegas and thought that the outside of the new huge Sphere would be a great abstract, etc. photo. (No, I didn't see it inside.) I actually found all the unconnected LED spots quite visually unsettling. Here's two low mg cell phone photos - hence the noise - to show you. I didn't even bother to take out my good camera. I found it best about two blocks away - but then, there are buildings in the way.

If anyone can take some good photos of the exterior, more power to you. I can't - or I guess, not willing to try.

You first photo needs to be a gif file that slowly moves in a small circle. I can see why you're sick.

I do find it an interesting challenge...perhaps, with a super long lens or something in the 10-15mm range.

haha. Yeah, it's the sphere's fault I got sick right after I saw it!!!

Whether it's the photo or in person, it's just visually disorienting to me.

Wow, that first one really does my head in. I can see how you found it unsettling (if not nauseating...).
I guess this will act as a reminder of the time you were sick - talk about a connection with an image :-)

It's a shame you didn't capture something further away, although I'm guessing we could get an idea of the sphere by searching online.

It was my last few hours there and I was leaving late night after my friend left town. I was only walking and still hadn't eaten dinner..oh the excuses are endless! lol Want more???
