January ~ Something New
I am not very creative but here is my attempt at capturing first light striking a mountain 35 miles away, hoping for a nice Alpine Glow.
Plan A: involved getting up a 3:30 am and driving 200 miles only to discover the location doesn't used the same Weather Apps as I do.
Plan B: Backtrack 100 miles.
Plan C: Shift 10 miles to the Northwest. Should have started here first as the weather went downhill quickly after this shot

It sucks when the weather fails to cooperate, but it looks like you made the most out of the lemon you were served. Kudos for you to even make the attempt.
I am confused though - you drove 200 miles to get to a location 35 miles away? Did you get lost?

Nice shots! I like the first one best but I think it's a tiny bit too centered.
An easy crop to keep the right and lose the left. I think I like the composition better.
