February Challenge - Minimalism

Winter snow presents so many opportunities for those willing to brave the cold. On the assumption that snowy weather will return, the February challenge reverts back to one of our core focus styles, that being Minimalism.

For those blessed with snow us this as a motivation to don your warmest boots and get out into the elements, others may have to find alternate means to fulfill the challenge.

I'll start off with a few examples of my own just to spur ideas.

Snow makes life easy for minimalist style photos! Here in Germany it's open to have snow again in Feb. It's a bit to warm with +9 degree Celsius during the day...

For me the challenge is greater, to head out for minimalistic photos w/o snow. All the distractions are still around, preventing me / us to achieve the minimalist style. So how to hide them in a clever way?

I see you have managed to find a way to capture without snow.

For those who may live in warmer areas here are some examples that may generate ideas.

Thank you for your ideas w/o snow here! Yes, fog is often lovely... When it shows up. Great ideas!

Just an idea for a further challenge: Use of negative space. Some times we give too much and the object is too small, or the negative space is too squeezed and the photo becomes ordinary. This isea was just popping up.
