Just to let folks know that I have put together a guide to what I am calling the 'followICM' technique (for want of a better expression).
The guide can be found via the following link if interested, for those unaware of this project I've included a sample of images that explain the results.
https://www.alanbrownphotography.com/follow-icm-guide
As always, and comments/feedback whether good or bad always gratefully received and appreciated.
I have a follow up article in the works that compares (iPhone) apps that may be used for this process, if anyone is interested in having a sneak peek contact me and I'll provide access.
Your final photo reminds me of an Edvard Munch painting.
Fantastic guides, Alan! You covered it all thoroughly and understandably. I've appreciated the work you've done and pass on your guides to others ... that last image is a classic! The second one has an old-timey feel - maybe if in BW. Thanks again for all the effort you put into both guides.
Thanks Jenny, I’ll have to try that.
The second is clearly the best. I'm not crazy about the first and third ones though I can see why you like the framing of the first one.
Thanks for your honest assessment Charles.
I find it interesting both you & Jenny are drawn to the second image, and am thankful for the feedback.
