In camera multiple exposure but this time, for simplicity, I used a single lens using five exposures rather than two. (can you guess which lens?)
On some photos I started at 100 and finished at 500, while others I reversed the process. Again I mixes it up with centering the subject while others were a off center (notably #2 and #6)
#1 ~ My first attempt on a overcast day. This is probably my least favorite.
#2 ~ A few days later the clouds parted. I visited a local State Park that had part of the field "Mowed and Rolled" and I chose to use a CPL.
#3 ~ Elsewhere in the park I visited the pond to photo water lilies. My mind told me keeping the subject centered would yield better results.
#4 & #5 ~ HOT Summer! I took these two before noon as the temperatures rose above 100° F again. The subjects are Art Work on our fence. The nature of the fence casts shadows at interesting angles. My wife likes #4 more than #5, while I like #5 best.
#6 ~ 1970's style glass lamp fixture in the commons area of our complex as the morning Sun starts bring up the temperatures. With the grove of Douglas Firs the light is fleeting and it didn't last long on the Lamp Globe.
Overall thoughts:
I feel being further away from the subject makes for a more interesting photo. Ranked by distance to the camera (Furthest to Closest) #2, #1, #6, #3, #4, #5.
#4 has a maximum distance restriction of about 6 feet and #5 was 8 feet due to building structures.
I feel #3 is the best for the subject being centered, while #6 is the best 'off-centered' subject.
Always good to see the results of your creative experiments.
I have fun learning what works. I think it helps train my eye to imagine what else can I do.

Really like the last one. Very cool.
Really like 3, 4, 5 the best but they're all pretty cool!
Thanks for posting the results on your experiments Dean.
I have tried something similar with a) using a zoom at different focal lengths and b) taking shots as I move towards the subject.
Great shots, just more ideas to think about….
